"Clear Eyes" (Pt. I) (Matthew 6:22-23)Rev. Dan Downing, July 29, 2018
Two-Part Sermon: "CLEAR EYES", preached at a Sunday Morning service
Senior Pastor Dan Downing taps into Christ's Sermon on the Mount, as he preaches from the title, "Clear Eyes." Jesus said in Matt. 6:22, "If our eyes are clear (single, focused, true), then our whole body will be full of light!" The idea is that only singleness of purpose, or purity of intention, can keep the inner being lighted with God's presence.
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, 23 but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! (ESV)
